Bistro, wine bar and fashion boutique
This semi-enclosed monochromatic restaurant is part of a trifecta by Christopher Njo, the man behind the 2004 Roti Boy craze. The 95-seater rests on a 3,000 sq ft space alongside a wine bar (with a 60-plus wine list from Italy, France, Spain and Australia) and apparel, bags and accessories retailer Esye. Former Michelangelo chef Dennis Ong puts together traditional Italian flavours with a touch of modernity: the capesante e gamberi ($23) starter is pan-seared prawns, Avruga caviar and semi-sun-dried tomato purée on a scallop and sweet onion confit, while the Covelli Supreme Pizza ($18++) is more minimalist with black olives, oregano, basil and mozzarella over home-made tomato sauce on a thin crust.
