Set amid a housing estate in Hillview between two Bukits (Timah and Gombak), this off-the-beaten-track boutique eatery serves up home-style Italian favourites with a Sicilian flair. After running busy kitchens both here and abroad, chef/owner Salvatore Catalano adds the personal touch to his flavoursome, albeit small selection of dishes: savour the home-made gnocchi in walnut cream sauce, and the aptly named Salvatore pizza with artichokes and zesty buffalo mozzarella layered on a perfectly crispy crust. With its quaint, personable feel, and a seating capacity of just 40, La Noce is ideal for a catch-up with friends or a quiet romantic twosome.
