The temptation is to order everything on the menu – the portions are, for the price, just right, filling and delicious. The food emerges from the kitchen at a commendable trot, so it’s perfect for that pre-movie bite. Particularly good are the fried tofu, and the salmon salad – a large serving of leaves, pink salmon strips touched with a creamy mayonnaise and, unusually, garlic oil. The pork omelette sits on a mound of shredded cabbage, and it’s impossible to have too many servings of the grilled asparagus wrapped in juicy, glossy bacon. Tip: on weekends, come early or late. Otherwise you’ll have to wait – though rarely for very long.
Main courses $3.80- $12.80.
