Housed in a former cinema space, this heartland Japanese joint (just ten minutes away from Ang Mo Kio MRT) includes 150 items in its menu, with such selections as sake ikura maki ($12.90), the curry katsu don ($13.90), grilled squid ($11.90) and Wafu steak ($17.90). Chef Quek Weili’s speciality is sushi, having trained with several different local sushi chefs. We hope as diners to live up to the challenge of its name – in Japan, ‘marugoto’ means ‘to finish an entire meal’.
