You have to love a restaurant where your order lands on the table almost as soon as you’ve handed the menu back to the waiter. The lunch menu offers great value: a set course of fried chicken, braised salmon, rice, salad and miso for about $14. The quality of the cooking is consistently flawless: no wonder the place is packed with hurried locals and Japanese expats.

limited menu choice? really? i spend at least 30 minutes going through the menu whenever i go ehre - because its huge! can't beat the deep fried anchovies for a starter. the trick with these japanese places is to go for lunch - prices can go through the roof at dinner time! happens at keyaki in pan pacific and the other japanese place in amara all the time!

food is great but can be a little too salty at times. beautiful setting and is always packed for dinner. however, the only let down is the limited menu choice.
