It’s hard to believe that behind such an unimposing façade lies an eatery with such a fierce following. The fare here is redolent of a different time and place; of rustic villages and hand-pounded herbs and spices, and recipes passed from mother to daughter. There are tender chunks of beef braised in a creamy coconut sauce, chicken curries, grilled meats and a technicolour spread of puddings.
