Tex-Mex is the name of the game here, and in a very good way. Even the opening salvo of golden corn chips in a blood-red salsa of tomato, chile and coriander deserves a little cry of joy. Highlights include a chile con queso (a creamy dip of tomatoes and cheese); perfectly breaded mushrooms sitting in a pool of heady garlic sauce; and pillowy home-made enchiladas cushioning fresh swimmer crabmeat with a hefty side of pinto beans, rice and salad. Probably the best seats in the house are out along the wide, breezy verandah, while tossing back a lethally potent, chilled margarita. Vegetarian versions of just about everything on the menu are also available.

This used to be a sincere place for decent tex-mex. But they have gotten greedy and started charging for everything and anything. Que lastima.
