It looks like skimpy nachos and overstuffed burritos are finally being nudged from their undeserved preeminence. BluJaz’s Latin offshoot has been set up in a red shophouse right around the corner. Similar to its mothership, live DJs are attracting bustling crowds, but it’s the cocktail-friendly Mexican grub that will keep us coming back. The chunky guacamole is prepared with just-right doses of lime and chilli, and a fresh and tangy ceviche is worthy of seconds. Unwind with an after-work margarita in hand that won’t leave a gaping hole in your wallet.

Piedra Negra is my favourite restaurant around town because they have the best buritos, nachos, and quizadilla.. And ofcourse don't forget the margaritas... It's awesome. I highly recommend this place, good ambiance. Music and the staff are very friendly and accommodating, despite the bad reviews, its still a good place to have fun..

Enticed by the packed tables, I thought I'd follow the dinner crowd and give Piedra Negra a try. Worst mistake ever made that ruined the night. The staff was totally rude. I asked the waitress for a table for two, she just ignored me although she was standing next to me. I repeated louder this time and she rolled her eyes.
When I asked for her manager she defiantly just pointed to another staff and laughed. When I spoke to her manager, he gave the same shoddy attitude. Disgusted by their behavior I left without even stepping in, and it makes me question what kind of restaurant could be complacent enough not to value customers.
Granted that they had filled table, I would never step foot in such a place with unprofessional service that left me feeling insulted. I would strongly recommend anyone to reconsider before trying this place.
Many other good Mexican restaurants around Singapore. Too bad I left without taking down the staffs' names otherwise I would have made a formal complaint to the management.

Very good atmosphere which is hard to find in Singapore at times. food good...hard to completely butcher nachos and tacos(they have more to offer). and can head over to blue jazz after. all and all a cool new place in and area most poeple dont find themselves that often. make the "trek"

I had some drinks there with a couple of friends. We ordered a bottle of tequila. It was not the most expensive one, but it surely was of good quality. The service was similar to the one of Blu Jaz (same owner). Not the most efficient one, but very cheerful and generous (free mixers, peanuts, chips without even asking). If you want east fast and don't have time to enjoy the scene (like a lot of people in Singapore), then I suggest you look for another place. Haji Lane is a place meant for non rushed people :)

Mexican food at decent prices. Unfortunately the staff appears to be composed of complete buffoons and morons.
It took 20 min for them to bring out a Margarita and when it came out it wasn't prepared how i ordered. It looked like whenever an order was placed, the staff just told someone else in the hopes that they would do the work for them.
The 4 times I've eaten here it has been the same story: it took an absurd amount of time to even get menus much less our food served.
I am used to terrible service in Singapore but this may take the cake. I love Mexican food but not enough to be insulted by the utter incompetence of the wait staff.
