Samar Cafe is an authentic piece of the Middle East in Singapore - the service can be bad, the food is not the main attraction and you cannot buy alcohol. If you do not want to sit on the floor then you should definitely mention that you want a table when you book. The music and atmosphere here is the u.s.p. - if you have never seen an authentic Middle Eastern band live then you must go to Samar soon.
