Time Out says

Hipster guitarist Keith Tan of indie rock quintet Obedient Wives Club has found the ideal day job to feed his foodie soul, opening his no-signage gourmet burger joint in a coffee shop – ‘it was all I could afford’ – located now at the artsy Bras Basah district in town. Having watched one too many food shows on TLC (and spent too much time at BBQ cookouts flipping meat patties), Tan hit upon the idea of Meat Packing District – a reference to the meticulous care he takes in hand-crafting each chuck patty before they hit the grill. Thankfully, a modest setting translates into modest prices.

Tan’s six burgers all cost under $10, with the cheeseburger with bacon a steal at $9.50 – fragrant brioche buns are griddled, then encased with a flavourful patty, crispy bacon slices and melted gouda. All burgers come with a side of fries, which you can upgrade to truffle ($2), curry or garlic (both $1) according to your fancy. And if you’re not watching your weight, keep a lookout for the monthly special: a recent one was the cholesterol-busting Fat Elvis ($11), a ridiculously decadent combo of a 120g patty, fried banana slices and bacon smeared with an inch-thick layer of peanut butter.
