There’s something so casually chirpy, upbeat and authentic about New York New York (so authentic, in fact, they named it twice and plonked down a pool table in the middle of the restaurant) that you understand why the lunch and dinner queues are so long. The all-day breakfast is great value and very well executed. Highlights include the yummy cheese-steak muffin (layers of beef stacked on crisp muffins and smothered with salty processed cheese with a side of crunchy chips, $6.90), pancakes (a not-so-filling serving of two small, fluffy rounds with butter and maple syrup, $5.90), and corned beef hash ($7.90) – from a tin, the helpful staff advised us – served with sautéed onions and a sunny-side-up egg.
New York New York was included in our recent Morning Glory - best western breakfasts feature.

I and my old mother walked into the New York Restaurant at Ang Mo Kio, after I noticed that there was no queue. As soon as we both asked the waitress, one senior staff called Jacqualine came and said the table we intended to sit, has been reserved for the guests who were looking at the Menu.
I replied Jacqualine that the guests outside were still looking at the menu. And, there also have another table besides us.
Her facial expression was not welcoming us. About a minute later, I saw another table with better seats was vacant. So, I asked the waitress could we move there as we just sit in a small place. The waiter pointed out to Jacqualine and she replied me that that table was also reserved for the same guests who were still browsing the menu.
Then, I decided not to dine at this New York Restaurant where the Customer Service is absolutely rude.
I came out with my old mother. I cannot believe such service mind set lady is managing the sitting plan.

Went to nyny at heartland mall yesterday, and all I could say was that it was good.
Service - Fast, instantly showed me in with 2 menus. Friendly waiters, smiles on the faces and good attention to us made my day. Food came pretty fast, a fish & chips and a chicken topped with mushroom sauce (?) came in around 10 minutes, which I consider really fast for a western restaurant. 8.5/10
Food - Great. You could taste that the fish is fresh, and the skin of the fish was thin, while the meat was fantastic. Chicken was fried till crisp, and the meat was tender. 9/10
Reading the comments above, I believe that NYNY has changed over the year and have definitely improved be it service or food. Give them a second chance for those who had a bad experience, its worth it.

Hi, We went to New York New York for dinner yesterday nite and let me tell you. The service is so bad as well as the food. We were made to wait for more than 15 mins even before some one could ask us if we wanted a table. then another 45 mins for our food to come. To add to it 3 times d wrong food. When we told the person servicing us we wanted to cancel our food.He just said ok with out a sorry or I will get ur food asap..It felt like they didnt want to serve us. The place was not too crowded and we could see a lot of people working there just standing around and doing nothing. Over all my friday was ruined by bad service and horrible tasting food. I will never go back there nor recommend the place.
