Though over a year old, Old Empire still attracts a loyal following for its mix of pub grub and craft beers. Never mind the sleepy location (Valley Point) and Spartan furnishings, for their selection is impressive, with nearly 50 to choose from. We’d be content with a pint of Belgian ale or a fruity Kopparberg cider, and a comforting plate of beer-battered fish and chips. Their smoked duck breast ($18) is a customer favourite.
