KITT is back and Hasselhoff is not, giving fans two reasons to celebrate. The car that first captured the imagination as a crime-fighting machine in the ’80s now has the ability to hack into any computer system, can change its shape and colour, and is equipped with artificial intelligence. Val Kilmer provides KITT with his/her/its voice. Knight Rider redux promises to be faster, louder and more sinister. Fingers crossed that Justin Bruening, who fronts the new series, can act better than a speaking car – unlike his predecessor.
