Indian stereotypes are hilariously depicted in this series that follows the lives of the employees of Teknobable, an Indian call centre. Kenny Gupta (Sanjeev Bhaskar from The Kumars at No. 42), a London-born accountant sent to Mumbai to manage the centre, is miserable until a smokin’ hot Englishwoman comes to check on his progress. Thick Indian accents disguised as smoothly British, houses stuffed with scores of relatives and Mercedes sharing road space with cows – Mumbai Calling is a well-directed comic take on life in urban India.
