Phone Booth

Cast as Stu Shephard, Colin Farrell plays a sleazy media consultant whose life is thrown into a maelstrom when he picks up a ringing public telephone. The caller on the other end turns out to be a friendly neighbourhood sniper who promises Stu that his head will be blown off if he hangs up. The plot thickens when the area near the booth becomes the scene of another crime and the coppers show up. Seeing Stu standing inside the booth, they assume he is the perpetrator, and Stu is forced to confront all his lies in order to escape the ordeal. This is a thrilling ride with many layers, revealed gradually through brilliant acting from Forest Whitaker (Captain Ramey – the senior police officer on the scene) and Kiefer Sutherland (the sniper).
