Time Out says

You’ve pored through the super sleek campaign images featuring top sportsmen Andy Carroll and Rivaldino dos Santos alongside supermodels Joan Smalls, Raquel Zimmermann, Isabeli Fontana and Natasha Poly. Or perhaps you’ve hyperventilated over pictures of Rihanna stepping out in the grey unisex leggings and cropped top from the collection. Whatever the case, there’s no denying this first-time collab between Alexander Wang (also creative director for Balenciaga) and the affordable Swedish brand is highly anticipated by fashionistas.

From what we’ve seen, the entire range is sports-themed and pretty much all black, with shades of grey and splashes of white. The collection marks the New York-based designer’s first-ever versatile performance wear line, with over 50 garments for men and women, including outerwear, t-shirts, dresses, bras and pants. Accessories such as scuba gloves, jacquard beanies, compression socks, sneakers, swim goggles, yoga mats, whistles and a magnetised Alexander Wang trophy cup – only for the hardcore fans – round up the sportier side of the collection.

These sit alongside the designer’s signature pieces, such as the leather boxing shorts, all of which proudly bear Wang’s name to ride on the in-your-face branding that’s been trending recently. As always, get in line early and expect nothing short of a mad rush when the stores fling their doors open. Benita Lee
