A growing trend around the world, beauty boxes have capitalised on the glut of beauty product samples in the market with enterprising startups compiling four or more cosmetic samples and packaging them up for delivery to your doorstep. Here are three beauty box delivery services to check out in Singapore

Bellabox

Bellabox subscribers have received popular brands such as SK-II, Kiehl’s and Dermalogica skincare vials in their sample mix and sometimes – on an especially lucky month – customers have been rewarded with full-size skincare bottles as well. Not every month’s a lucky one, but the uncertainty adds a good surprise element. The contents of Bellabox also showcase more cosmetic brands than the competition. Also offers a Bellababy Box for mothers, mothers-to-be and babies. $19.95/mth; $219.45/year. www.bellabox.sg

Glamabox

The most affordable of the three boxes has a star factor with model Lisa S – also wife to Hong Kong hearthrob Daniel Wu – fronting this subscription box service. But that’s about as much shine as this box gets because it carries mostly indie brands many Singaporeans haven’t heard of, such as La Peau Douce, Louvier and Reacheer. $18/mth. www.glamabox.com

Vanity Trove

CRITIC'S CHOICE. As the priciest subscription beauty box available locally, Vanity Trove’s draw is the promise of luxe, trendy and award-winning samples. So far, so good: when popular US sensitive skincare brand VMV Hypoallergenics arrived in Singapore in September, Vanity Trove subscribers were among the first to check out the brand in their October box. The subscription box service also released a limited edition men’s version of the service last September – pretty boys who want the trendiest new beauty products should keep their eyes peeled for future possible releases. $25/mth. www.vanitytrove.com
