First published on 4 May 2010. Updated on 20 Jul 2010.

Eunice Creations

JADE JEWELS. These jade earrings, pendants and bangles, adorned with semi-precious stones and crystals, all scream Mother’s Day. Level 2 Tangs Orchard, 310 Orchard Rd; Level 1 Tangs VivoCity, 1 HarbourFront Walk (9686 1988, eunicecreations@hotmail.com)

House of Times

WATCHES. One of the largest collections of rare Swatches, with limited-edition timepieces still kept airtight in their original packaging. If you get lucky, you might find the rare Jelly Fish GK100RE2 ($200), released back in 1986. They also carry designer brands like DKNY, Fossil and Esprit. #B1-125 Lucky Plaza, 304 Orchard Rd (6734 1096)

M.C.L

CHUNKY BRACELETS AND RINGS. You have to be blind to miss these babies. Eye-grabbing ethnic bangles and ornate cocktail rings encrusted with colourful stones are what M.C.L are known for. If you think you’ve seen them before, you probably have, on the arms of Sarah Jessica Parker or Rihanna. Prices range from $250 for rings and $490 for bangles to $1,200 for necklaces. #03-20 ION Orchard, 2 Orchard Turn (6509 1068, www.mcldesign.net)

Mimco

BOHO-CHIC TRINKETS. In addition to the bags, chunky, flamboyant necklaces, bracelets and cuffs are what makes Mimco pop. From rockstar-themed, layered chain necklaces, to overblown flower cuffs and cancan-themed pearl chokers – this season’s got some especially dark and dangerous overtones. #B1-29 ION Orchard, 2 Orchard Turn (6884 6216, www.mimco.com.au)

Miz-29

HATS AND CAPS. As the main distributor for New Era caps in Singapore, these guys have the Brooklyn-style headgear in a range of sizes and styles (49Forty and 59Fifty), and, most importantly, the logos of all your favourite teams. #01-01 Queensway Shopping Centre, 1 Queensway (6475 2415, miz-29.blogspot.com)

New China Opticians

GLASSES. They stock handsome frames from the '70s and '80s, including brands like Rodenstock, Silhouette and Metzler, and Dunhill. Should your glasses need adjusting, you can rely on Uncle Tony for free lifetime servicing. $100-$300. B1-12A Peninsula Hotel, 3 Coleman St (6337 8441)

Primitive Art Piercing & Tattoo

BODY JEWELLERY. The shopfront has a see-through treasure trove of ear studs, belly button rings, tongue rings, barbells and nipple rings made from surgical stainless steel and silver to gold, acrylic and titanium. #04-101 Far East Plaza, 14 Scotts Rd (6735 3710)

Quintessential

DESIGNER ACCESSORIES AND BAGS. These are the guys who trendspotted Kotur’s bejewelled clutches, Rebecca Minkoff’s studded arm candy and Tuleste Market’s slick adornments long before others caught on. This month, they’re bringing in opaque oversized rings, sequin- and stripe-heavy totes, snakeskin minaudières and newsprint clutches. #02-01 Pacific Plaza, 9 Scotts Rd (6738 4811, www.quintessential.com.sg)
