Located in Pasir Panjang, taking a step into this funkadelic London-loft-style warehouse is like being transported back in time. Stacked up to the ceiling with homeware and knick-knacks from yesteryear, you find yourself manoeuvring your way around '40s art-deco ashtrays, '70s cantilever dining chairs, '60s remote-control tin toy cars, an Eames-era plastic champagne container, a '60s pod chair with inbuilt speakers, and an avant-garde fiberglass chaise longue – all the while trying not to knock over standing cylindrical lamps. There's something for everyone: the old dears will be reminiscing about the good ol' days and the young folks, well they'll lap up the second-hand retro-chic on offer here.

Lorgan Wong started restoring colonial furniture with his father when he was just a child. As he got older, his appreciation for vintage furniture grew, the knowledge he accumulated from myriad design books allowing him to recognise the original make-up of the piece. 'I take pride in the ability to restore things as close to their original state as possible.' Most of Wong's pre-loved possessions-for-sale are flown in from Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark or Norway, with others found right here in Singapore.

As for what to buy and how much to pay, Wong recommends going on eBay as a pricing guide and referring to magazines like ELLE Decoration (UK) as a guide to trendspotting. But if you're still in need of affi rmation, Wong – who is usually found at the store meddling with a broken transistor radio or restoring a broken lampshade – will be there to point you in the right era.
