‘Our pieces speak to women who appreciate a touch of quirkiness,’ says Pia Chew, owner and curator of Dustbunny, which sources genuine vintage purses, bags, shoes and dresses from across the world. The speciality are the 50 or so purses, ranging from 1970s American clutches ($15) to a Chanel purse from the early 1980s ($2,600). There are around 300 dresses, from 1970s fl oral secretary dresses with bow ties ($40-$60) to a 1980s Bill Blass ballgown ($250). Everything in the funky, ’70s-inspired shop (the cashier desk looks like a brown-wallpapered bar) is more than 15 years old, with no reproductions – so you can be pretty sure you won’t see the same dress walking round Singapore.
