Queensway Shopping Centre

We love Queensway for its cheap, cheap sneakers, racquets and sporting apparel. You can get a pair of Nikes go for less than $100 depending on the shoes you have set your eyes on.

It’s not for fashion-forward types as the shops sell last season’s leftovers. But at least it won’t cost you an arm and a leg. As the prices vary between shops, we’d recommend that you browse for a bit before buying. And if that fails, bargain like you’re in Bangkok’s Chatuchak Weekend Market.

Calling all parents or parents-to-be. This shop stocks the most adorable and rare items from New Zealand and United States.

The locker-filled shop is like a mini garage sale of sorts. People sell their stuff in the lockers while the owners keep an eye out for them. Expect surprise finds as you’re just as likely to get vintage cameras mixed in with bikinis.

This sinful bowl of Katong Laksa has made its way from the eastern corner Singapore to get rid of your hunger pangs. Just don’t overdo it.
