Without all the advantages of a ground-floor shopfront, sisters Chin and Joyce Neo had to make the narrow staircase leading up to their store enticing enough for passers-by to venture up. We couldn’t decide which was the cuter display along the wall: the romantic flowers or the painted scene of a girl and her puppy.
Inside, clothes are hung on playground ladders that now have a new purpose as display racks. Both siblings jumped from the corporate world into this: a self-run store filled with fashion and accessories, sourced both locally and internationally. This is the place to pick up colourful workwear from local label Twenty2Seven and homegrown Polka’s equally playful dotted creations.
