One central theme, three different interpretations. That’s the idea behind t43 Jewellery, the brainchild of a trio of Central Saint Martins studentsturned- jewellery-designers. Their newest collection, ‘Art-Tea-Scent’, was launched at the recent Singapore Fashion Week and saw three unique collections. Inspired by origami and calligraphy, Taiwanese designer Szu Fen’s (Art) bold statement pieces have auspicious names of Chinese teas burnt into the fabric of neckpieces, bangles and rings. Japanese-born Nana (Tea) produced a wearable collection of graphic-engraved sterling silver pieces – pendants and earrings – with wood and acrylic accents, cutely packaged in the form of a teabag. Meanwhile, local talent Serene’s (Scent) collection, inspired by the aroma of her favourite teas, took the form of whimsical acrylic and silver pieces (pictured at left). Produced in limited quantities, each piece is hand fabricated and priced from $200 upwards.
