It has sun, sand and sea – and this month, Siloso Beach will also have an oceanfront stadium built to hold the 20,000 ardent beach volleyball fans who are expected to turn up for the Swatch FIVB Beach Volley World Tour 2007, the first time that Singapore is hosting this increasingly popular opportunity to see people jump around in swimsuits. Some 32 teams from 25 countries, including top favourites Brazil and Switzerland, will battle it out for prize money, as well as qualifying points for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
