Mountain biking enthusiasts will rejoice in the knowledge that a true Double Black Diamond exists in Pulau Ubin. The Ketam Bike Park is the first site in Singapore to meet standards set by the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA). Expect other trails to have steep climbs, sharp corners and places to work on tricks; there are also tracks for dirt biking and free riding. Come ready, leave muddy and content.

Last October, I had one of the best time, of all of my Singapore visits. Went hiking at the MacRitchie Reservoir Park. Went there at 8 AM, and was watching some of the local private schools practising kayak racing on the lake, then off hiking on the green oasis. Just an FYI, Singapore has hiking meetups on the weekends. Just sign up on the meetup group.com. Select Singapore - hiking or outdoors.
