One of the world’s most eminent endurance events saunters into town next month. The Singapore leg of the World Championships Triathlon series features 120 of the world’s top triathletes who’ll take a paltry 1.5km dip in the Marina Reservoir (that’s equivalent to 30 laps of an Olympic-size swimming pool), bike for 40km and then go on a 10km run past the Singapore Flyer, City Hall and The Esplanade for a little sightseeing and relaxation. Shorter events will be organised to encourage public participation. And that means you! So stop eating those salted chips and get in shape.
