Some people scoff at the very notion of categorising the competitive stacking of plastic cups in predetermined sequences as a sport. They are of course misled, misinformed and mistaken souls who have not yet seen the light. Stacking requires speed, concentration and exceptional hand-eye co-ordination – all the attributes of a sport. If you still don’t believe us, head up to Mount Faber and catch the lightning-paced action as some of the fastest hands in the land try to out-stack each other. And if you like what you see, check out the SAFRA website for classes that will help you achieve these Ninja-like stacking abilities.

Costs: $10.24 for members; $12.80 for non-members.

Where: Preliminaries (14-15 Nov) at SAFRA branches in Mount Faber, Yishun, Tampines and Toa Payoh; finals (21 Nov) at SAFRA Mount Faber
