Goodwood Park Hotel

The distinguished Goodwood Park boasts a deeply romantic castle-style tower and a rich history. Built in 1900 as the Teutonia Club, an exclusive retreat for German expats, it became a hotel in 1929; the grounds were used for war crimes trials after World War II. It still has a majestic air, with elegant columns and classical archways. Rooms are mostly done up in the tropical colonial uniform of creams, beiges and creams. Highlights include the wooden-shuttered poolside suites, and classy Sichuan restaurant Min Jiang. High-rollers stay in the aristocratic Brunei Suite, which includes a spacious lounge, study and grand dining room with rooftop garden – all accessed by its own private lift.
