Following a recent face-lift, the Grand Hyatt has been given the feng shui treatment, from the carefully angled lobby doors to the tranquil water features (including a lavish waterfall). Rooms are decorated in soothing neutral tones with liberal use of blond wood; each has a small patio. The Grand Wing rooms are highly indulgent: think goose-down beds, luxury bed linens and Bang & Olufsen entertainment systems. For a garden view, ask for a Cabana room; each comes equipped with a balcony. Other highlights include the free-form swimming pool and deck, the poolside barbecue (on weekends only) and the classy cocktails served up at the Martini Bar.
