This boutique hotel, created out of ten beautifully refurbished shophouses, exudes character. The mood-lit lobby sets the stage for the sumptuous decor: dark wooden furnishings, dramatic red walls and drapes, plush purple carpets and gilt-edged antique mirrors. Rooms are on the small side, but rates are very reasonable. The location, in a red-light district, adds to the frisson of decadence.
