The 727 Fuselage Home
It’s an encouraging sign to see the green movement influencing even the hotel industry to start recycling. Costa Rica’s Costa Verde Resort has commissioned the stylised refurbishment of a retired 1965 Boeing 727 aircraft as the resort’s latest luxury addition – a two-bedroom teak suite. Named the 727 Fuselage Home, the plane perches alongside rainforest treetops to overlook the soft beaches of Manuel Antonio National Park. Book during Green Season (from now until 17 November) and receive discounted rates.
Costs: From US$300 (S$450) per night.
