With a prime position on the corner of Orchard and Scotts Roads, and a green-roofed, pagoda-style tower, the Marriott definitely stands out. But the Asian-style façade belies the contemporary interior. The ten pool terrace rooms are the most enticing options: they come with private verandas and in-room bathtubs bathed in sunlight; the pool suite comes with its own private dip pool. Nightlife options are good: there’s the Crossroads Café (a people-watching hotspot); the late-opening Living Room cocktail bar; and lively music venue Firefly.
