Ironically, Fake Spa
I've read many other forums/blogs and found that there are SOOOOOO many negative comments not just on True Spa, but practically everything under the True Umbrella. The boss used to be a lawyer... Is it a good thing that he left the law industry? (He might be that of a good lawyer judging from the way that he doesn't bother train his sales personnel/receptionist properly? And perhaps he is unaware or isn't even concern with the amount of complaints on his company?)NO? Now with True, he along with his company sucks blood from peasants who just wanted and choose to pamper themselves more within the midst of chaotic working life. Life's never fair. At last, I am a victim of hardselling too. As quoted from someone in another forum "they promise you sky before you sign up, and make sure you fall hard to the ground after you've sign up". Negative feedback spreads like fire in forest esp in Singapore where people like to complain left right up down inside out (*/me raises hand*) Please do your part in warning and educating people around you and learn to walk away from hardselling. Instead of crying over spilt milk, i would try to finish the package asap and take it as i am giving them some "close down fee". Self comfort perhaps. Since you paid for it, USE IT by any means. I am lucky coz my bf works next the cuppage branch and would be able to bug them day and night to confirm on our appointment. If True don't try to improve, they won't survive. There're so many spas out there, with one such blood sucking company lesser, the better to the society. If you have extra $$ capital, go open a spa and learn these scrupulous business tactic from True.

Oh yes.. Don't try calling either the consultant or reception. They will not answer. Go directly to the counter to book.Never book during the holiday seasons. No one will entertain. Not even any of the consultant.Yeah they are all sucking our hard earn money.Re-read yr contract carefuly.

I'm sick and tired of calling the consultant to book my schedule.Yes,they don't even reply.Worst of all, they don't even know my name.I share my package with my cousin since last May.Only since August, I learn how to finish up my package.After every of my session, I'll book directly thru the reception.(They are the only one can confirm the booking on the spot)They can only reserve max up to 2wks from the date.So I go to the Spa every 2wks.But all the timing that I booked were during the weekdays were after work hrs(Gosh it is tiring to travel there from one end to another). It is the only way for me to finish the pacakge.Remember once you sign up, you can only use it upto 3yrs.Membership card?Until now I don't get it.I just want to finish up the package.

Very few gd sales consultants at True Spa
The sales consultant who signed me up was very unprofessional. Cannot get things done. She did not answer calls. Replied to smes only after >1 week. Have met 1 gd sales consultant who believed that the service is not right. Even though she does not get any cent from me, she helped me to book. But she is leaving too!!! No one answers the phone. Not Ngee Ann City nor Cuppage. WHAT IS THIS???

True Spa is being sued! Bad karma
The New Paper 7 Dec 2008. An article about hoe True Spa is being sued. You know what? I'm a member of True Spa but so frustrated.... had felt like going to Case or sue them. Apparently, my sales consultant has left True Spa in Nov. So unprofessional. did not even inform me. Heard from another sales person who works there. She said once the sales contract is signed, the sales consultant gets $500 and don't care about the customers.... Serve them right that they are being sued!!!

TRUE SPA - True WORST SPA of all!
Oh I thought only Belinda have good opinion of True SPA. If you guys still thinks True SPA is not what we said they are, please take up our packages and pay us by monthly installation. Since you guys are sure....very sure you can make appointment with True SPA easily (after you have signed up package with them) and have faith of good services by TS. When I signed up the package I was given the impression I can get appointment easily but when I want to terminate because of non-service, I cannot because of the contract I signed if not I would have cancel my card immediately. I know Singaporean are well known for complaints but we posted because we dont want others to be in the same situation like us. CASE also cannot help us. Just think how far ahead TS thought of to protect themselves. We are not complaining because of some small matter, like the place very crowded, toilet dirty, etcs - we can't even get to enjoy any service which we have paid for. I have been signed up with other SPA before, I dont have such problems. I like to try around. Well no more package for me.

Belinda, i dont believe you. I have tried since April 2007 till now, no appt can be secured thru consultant or reception. I have not even enjoy anything yet. I tried booking a week in advance and 2 weeks in advance and were advised booking schedule not out yet. This message is still on my handphone! These are our hard earned moneny and all they do is take $ to pay for their staff and enjoy themselves, never even bother they cannot provide service with the increase of members. But if you are going to try their service, you definitely will get a slot accordingly to your date and time. Before sign up, they promised you everything can, but after you signed the contract (which only benefit them) you are on your own. I tried to cancel my contract since they cannot provide me any service but they just dont bother. What is this? Cannot provide service and yet have the courage to continue to take money from us!

TruSpa and TruYoga SUCKS!!! SUPER LOUSY
The hardselling tactics of the sales people in TruYOga and TruSpa is so real. My friends and I signed up so many packages because we were charmed by the sales girls. But when we wanted to withdraw after going back home the next day, the sales people said it is not possible. This is ridiculous. The facilities in TruSpa is always not available. They promised me that i can get complimentary jacuzzi and foot spa, but so far, i only got 1 time jacuzzi and the room is always not available for jacuzzi!!! They even stopped the jacuzzi once because due to management decision!!! I am very frustrated with how the rich in SIngapore is exploiting the poor.

when i went there for a review because someone gave me a complementary voucher still.. there are some people that are fooled by thier CUSTOMER SERVIVE TACTICS but I doubt once they sign up the only thing that you may probably hear is WAAAAHHHHHHH,,,,,I regret signingg,,Huhuhu and after they got your money they will just simply ignore,, lucky i read blog like this,,,, I will never experience such this mess,,,,

Avoid True Group at ALL costs!
Not all spas or facial salons are that bad. True spa is the worst that I've encountered. The sales consultant is fake. Said would I could book VIP rooms for 2 persons (either friend or sister etc) through her but she always did not answer my calls or smses. In fact, i had to sms and called her several times and she only replied 1 week later! Calling the line directly is of little use as it's always engaged. I had gone to the reception counter at Ngee Ann city to book once but the sales conslutant who was there (was busy preparing offerings during the Hungry Ghost Festival) did not even bother to see to my request! Now that Planet fitness is acquired by true group, I would NOT be renewing my gym package with them at all despite their numerous calls to get me to sign up for pkg & personal training. planet fitness never resorted to hardsell, which is why i signed up with them for a 40 mth pkg years ago instead of california fitness.

How wrong can it be when there is so many bad comments......
Satisfied customers will be more than willing and happy to share their wonderful experiences. No one will be so free to comment without experiencing the lousy service. Furthermore if the company cares about their image they would have reviewed it instead of continuing to antagonise thier customers. I was always told that their hydrobath are down most of the time if not their staff do not have time to prepare for it. Hence, most of the customers will just continue with massage only. It is really a good sales gimmick as one would have to sign up for more massage sessions if they want to fully ulitise their hydrobath session. A masseuse must prepare for hydrobath before massage. From my understanding no staff will prepare just the hydrobath without any massage. It may not be worth to travel all the way there for a twenty minutes bath. Hence, I am prepared to sacrifice the balance of hydrobath sessions in order not to increase any unnecessary stress by signing for more sessions. Instead of relaxing from the spa I feel more stressful. It sounds very ridiculous but in fact we are buying unessential stress despite or our hectic life.

I have a program at True Spa for 2 years and seriously I dun really have a problem as my consultant help me to book for my treatments. Text her and she'll get everything done for me! I'll just have to appear for my treatments on time!

I think this is not the proper way to address the issue. For those who felt that they were ignored then go to the front desk and state your complains. Im sure the staff will politely accommodate you. What you guys do here is not good for the business, your destroying the image of the spa. Bring it back to yourself, what if you have a business... Can you satisfy each and everyone of your customers? Im sure some of them will just be the same as you are right now. So don't do this...

Me too have been calling for days and at last get through the line today. talk to the guy answered the phone. He said not enough people to answer phone and management didn't want to look into this problem as they are cutting cost. fainz... Anyone succeeded in getting refund/compensation in bringing True Spa to CASE?

Hey all, I understand all the frustration. Just last wednesday, I went down to confirm my appointment for sat, the reception confirm. Then, when my sis come, they said they got no viproom. I speak to the manager and his reason was the hydrobath was dwn.Even if the hydrobath was dwn, ain't the viprm still can be use? within 10mins, my sis got bth her hydrobath & massage in the viprm.my question, did they reserve the viprm last min for their own friends? So all, be firm if the same thing happen to ya all. currently i am clearing my package. so i'll be going for either massage or facial once in two weeks. by bookig directly at their reception.so far, everyone except the sales consultant department are good. if you happen to go town, drop by at the recept to make booking which the booking can be made max up to 2wks.u can also confirm the booking on the spot...

I wished I have seen this website before I signed up with true Spa this year. The sales consultant whom I signed my package of a few thousand dollars is lousy! Bad service. Hard to contact the recep or the consultant to book apointments. I signed up in March bu have only gone on 3 sessions (it's Nov now!) The last time I went with a fren wa sunable to have my spa as the sales consultant booked another venue at Cuppage even though I had always gone to Ngee Ann City!!! Waited for 1h + and it was not resolved.

What I would do now...
I understand the frustration in others. Currently,all my appointments hv been smooth since I claim to talked to the owner. What I want do is to finish this spa asap.After every seson,I'll go to the recep to book for the next one.Lucky me, my consulton is very good.Yes,there will be alot of ppl if you wanna bk last minute.What I did now is to book 3-4 sessions a mth advance. I would just cancel at least 2hrs b4 if I can't make it.(It is in the contract that we can cancel at least 2hrs b4 the session)... I hope i can finish in 2 1/2 yrs time... U can share with yr friend if she wants to go(well she can pay to you) just to finish the sessions.

I hate True Spa!
I wish i had visited this website before I signed up TS package. I also realised no one ever picks up the phone, I also thought they closed down and had to go to their Taka outlet personally. There is such stark contrast between their before & after service. I stopped going to such places for many yrs but I decided to try TS cos they were so friendly & persistent at first. It turn out they are just another one of those blood sucker spa plc. SIGH!! what can we do now???

True Lies from True Spa
I went to Small Claims Court to get my refund. The True Spa staff there actually lied to the referee that they had fixed their appointment system and promised that problems will not arise again. That was in Mar 2008!! Looks like many more victims have been affected. I don't understand why the legal system is blind to such a dishonest business

Unprofessional service and unreachable phone line
I got the same issues as the rest. I called them several times but the line is always engaged. I went up to TS to check if it's closed down... But the reception and sales people are busy to get more sales from new 'victims'. I waited for 20 mins and was not served. At the same time, i saw some pple who came to complain as well. I just want to finish up my leftovers as soon as possible. YUKS!!! Don't be fooled by their first friendly and warm service.

I'd like 2pointout on a wrongful fee imposed by TS on their members. I heard fm a few pple dat they paid $53 for their TS membership card! Membership card is non-chargeable! I was not asked to pay for it at all. The card should be part of the membership entitlements, how could they charge for it! To need to pay even $1 for it, its ridiculous, let alone to pay $53 for it!

the truth about this place is that they put all their resources into recruiting new members (who will be feeding the company's coffers) and subsequently ignore existing members. This 'appointment vanishing act' has happened to me so many times, it's a wonder I persist in going back - why should i walk away and benefit those idiots! However, I must say that some of their therapist are good. But isn't it amazing this place is thriving despite all this bad service. It bought out PF and heard they are opening another spa!

Hi Belinda u r NOT the only 1 suffering fm their terribly lapse of BASIC customer svc! I've heard even worse scenarios than urs... I'm a victim myself too! A group of us (gathered from a couple of different internet forums) are in the midst of pursing legal case against TS, to demand for compensation and full refunds. Its less than $50 PER PARTICIPANT. The more participants there are, the cheaper it cost per pax.

So, when,I reached there 1.30pm, the manager come.He said the hydrobath piping was having a renovation(last 2 days I called for confirmation, why didn't the Agent told me abt it?).Instead, I told him I'll just get the message. He checked the rooms but only available at 2.15pm. So my friend and I went for a light meal at Takashimaya basement.@ 2pm, a guy fr True Spa called me then to appologize and said that actually for the 2.15pm room, he looked at the wrong date.I was shocked and cancel the whole appointment.This is my second time hydrobath is having problem. Once in June when I went.Going forward, if this case going to happen for the third time, I think something have to be done here.

In abt 30 mins time, I will be doing my hydrobath, massage and facial in Tru SPA.. I am suppose to have a Couple room which i booked 2 wks back.. only ard 11.30, they called me and said they do not have any couple room.. This is the second incident. in one word, the company is UNREACHABLE. I spent a whole 7 days trying to book an appointment- no one picked up. I went to Trust Spa, they said their phone line was down- yet they were all managing to chat on the phone somehow. They wrote my booking down and never confirmed. As this has happened before I asked if someone would actually ring me back, the lady behind counter reassured me. NO call and they are still unreachable...the phone rings forever with no one picking up. An extremely poor mark for the singapore service sector, such places should be shut down.

True Frustration
Having purchased a preview package, I have to say that it was disappointment as promises made were not fulfilled and all efforts to engage management are ignored and fell on deaf ears. I regret purchasing the package and can't wait to finish and may even consider abandoning it. You can't make an appointment as no one answers the phone and the service is indifferent at best. Truly a case of - True Spa??? I will avoid it and all companies under its management in future. Let this be a warning to all spa goers.

I have made the appt like 1 mth notice and yet there's still no confirmation till the week i suppose to go for my massage. Yet when the telemarketers call, appt is fixed on the spot confirmation received. What is this management doing?

Don't think I'll ever try true spa after all these horror stories! I'm always extremely careful about free offers or extremely low cost massages for first timers. Getting hounded to part with alot of money after that is just not worth it. Best to find a place you like and trust and stick with that!

Terrible Service Attitude of True Spa 's Employees
My colleague and I were invited to complimentary massages at True Spa but we never got around to experiencing the massage due to the horrendous service by the staff at True Spa @ Ngee Ann City. Appointment was confirmed for 7:00 pm for 2 persons. We arrived at 6:50 pm and were told to sit down and wait. About 20 minutes later, a woman gave us a form to fill-up. She came back shortly afterwards to collect the form and said that the therapist will come for us soon. We waited until 7:40 pm, still no one came forth for us. We kept waving to the numerous staff that walked pass but were totally ignored by them. We went up the staff at the counter and were rudely told that their telemarketers always screw up the schedules and there's nothing they can do about it. We just have to wait for our turn. (Note: None of the staff we approached were even smiling while talking to us, except of an elderly tea-lady). At 8:00 pm still no one came for us. At 8:15 pm, one therapist came over and said that she can do one of us now. When we asked how long it will take for the next, she said don't know. In the end, after much irritation and frustration over having wasted our entire evening for nothing but more stress and treated with utter rudeness by the staff of True Spa, both of us left the place. This is certainly no way to run a business. No doubt the appointment was for a complimentary massage, meaning it's free, but that's no way to treat would-be clients. This was just completely TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Problem even before complimentary massage
Man this True Spa thing is more like True Hell for me. I told them to delete my name from their telephone listing one time too many. Guess what, it went to deaf ears. I have no choice but to resort to calling them every other time in the hope that they can remember my name. Finally, because of my constant calls, one of the “Mgt staff” decides to take my call only after hiding behind her staff for so long (so much so for leading them instead!). She told me that my name will be deleted from the contact list. Guess what, i have those guys calling me again!!! Worst still, one of the telemarketers staff told me not to pick up the call when they call me. I was stunt by her comments!! They are the ones calling me and they tell me not to pick up their call? This is just crazy.

too good to be true spa...
They entice you for a complimentary massage then hound you to purchase a package. Once you've paid for the package then they forget about you. I tried to ring them up for an appointment BUT all I got is the awful tiring ringtone of the phone. Sigh! i thought it was a bliss more likely an added STRESS.
